The Shimora brand comes from a comingling of their family names, Shimo and Moraghan. The label is created by a family friend, Japanese Tsutsugaki artist Shumei Kobayashi, and describes the cleanliness and pureness of their wines.

The philosophy of Shimora wines is to produce the best grapes as possible in the best site possible, and realize the potential of this fruit. The husband and wife team, Phillip, with his over 30 years of experience in the wine industry, and Rika with her keen interest in wines, together will progress the path to get closer to this goal.
